    Every engine bay has one — the alternator bolt behind the bracket, the pan bolt against the crossmember. A hand ratchet gets fifteen degrees of swing, which means five hundred clicks and most of your Saturday. The Reava head doesn't swing at all. Seat the socket, pull the trigger, and the bolt turns while the tool sits still.

    Corroded fasteners get cracked the way they always have: the head works as a manual ratchet, so you put your arm into the first quarter-turn. Then the 20V brushless motor takes over and spins the bolt out at up to 300 rpm. One tool in your hand for the whole job, not two.

    Before you buy

    Will it fit where my hand ratchet won't?

    If you can seat the socket, you can turn the bolt. There's no back-and-forth swing — the 90° head does the turning while the body sits still. That's the whole point: the fastener with 15° of room is the one it was built for.

    Will it break a rusted bolt loose?

    Use it the way mechanics use these: grab the head and give the first crack by hand, then pull the trigger and let the motor run it out. The head is built to take hand torque, so you never switch back to a second tool.

    Do I need to be a mechanic?

    No. Socket on, trigger, done. The direction switch is on the head and the LED lights the bolt. If you've used a hand ratchet, you already know how to use this.

    What jobs is it for?

    Oil pans, valve covers, brake calipers, trim, engine covers, tractor and trailer hardware — anything with a row of 10–17mm bolts. It is not an impact wrench: lug nuts stay with your breaker bar.
